Display Project

For this week, I decided to completely scrap all of my old ideas and try some new ones.  My favorite idea that I came up with was to make the display case a take on the Tropicana, the nightclub that Ricky, Lucy's husband was a band leader, and a frequent setting for the show.  All of the other ideas that I came up with that were associated with I Love Lucy I felt were too campy or kitschy to be selling make up, I just hope this reference isn't too obscure.

What I want to do is make a stand alone unit with three shelves on it that extend across the top where the lipstick can be held, and then I just added the two palm trees on the side and the writing to keep with the Cuban nightclub theme that the Tropicana has.  My biggest concern is that the theme I chose might not be strong enough, or it might not be obvious enough or be close enough to my packaging.

This is how I plan on placing the lipsticks in the shelves, so the whole tube sits out of sight except the big heart at the top.  This way, when they are all put in the display it will just look like a strip of hearts.

I also don't know if I want to add different colors to this, or make it all one color (probably black or white)
